The wedding of Sandra Barnett and Gavin Rowley
When the invitation arrived it read:

Rhonda and John Barnett request with pleasure the company of Lorraine & Trevor at the marriage of their daughter Sandra Rene to Stephen Gavin Rowley at Nyerimilang Heritage park, Lakes Entrance, Australia on 27 April 2002 at 3:30pm. A reception will follow at the Bellview Hotel, Lakes Entrance commencing at 6:30pm. |
As we headed towards Lakes Entrance we kept an eye on the sky. Dark clouds were building as we neared our destination. Not good. On the previous Saturday (why is it always on the weekend?) the skies had opened up and it had teemed. We all hoped that the day would remain fine. Fortunately, it did.
At the appointed time the guests and the odd hanger on assembled at Nyerimilang. The setting was delightful with fabulous views from the lawn (and probably the verandah ... but that is where the bridal party assembled).

Click on the following links to see Gavin before the ceremony, the ceremony (unfortunately I did not manage to get any really good shots of this part of the action as the wedding party was quite a way above the milling crowd on the lawn and we could only get glimpses of them. We will have to wait for the official photos to cover this part of the day), the couple, family portraits. And who said the bride and groom were the centre of attention? They were abandoned for ???. No wedding is complete without a cake.
All in all it was a great day. Thank you John and Rhonda for your wonderful hospitality. To Sandra and Gavin I extend to you my very best wishes for your future together.
