2.9.1.1 Eva May Barnett

Eva May Barnett was the only child of Thomas Barnett and Thomasine Christina Matthews, her mother dying shortly after her birth. She was born on May 1, 1858 in Badger, Shropshire and was baptised on July 25, 1858 at Remenham, BRK.

At the time of the 1861 census, Eva May was living with her grandparents, Joseph and Hannah Barnett, at Common Barn Farm, Horseshoe Common, Remenham. She was 2 years old.
The 1881 census gave Eva May's occupation as she annuitant. Her grandparents had provided for her upkeep. She was visiting Henry Gibbons and his family in Bledlow, BKM, and she was 22 years old and single.
In 1891 Eva May was living at Grange Farm, Saunderton, BKM, with William Barnett, a cousin of her father. She was listed as his housekeeper.
Eva does not appear to have been in Britian at the time of the 1901 census.
Eva died on April 29, 1915, in Cheltenham, GLS, aged 56. Her Will mentions a number of family members:
