2.9.1 Thomas Barnett

Thomas Barnett, the first child born to Joseph Barnett and Hannah Olivia Allingham. He was born in Remenham, Berkshire, in 1834 and was baptised there on September 22, of that year.

At the time of the 1851 census, Thomas was 16 and living at home. His occupation was given as farmer's son.

Thomas married Thomasine Christina Matthews in 1857. Thomasine was the daughter of James Matthews and Caroline Gardner. She was born about 1837 in Shiffnal, Sropshire, and died in 1858 following the birth of daughter Eva May.

Thomas appears not to have remarried and spent time in Africa. His mother's Wills and Codicils atest to this. His daughter was brought up by his parents who provided for her in their Wills.

It is not known when and where Thomas died.
