2.8.6 William Barnett

William Barnett was the sixth child and third son of William Barnett and Ann Matthews. He was born at Saunderton, Buckinghamshire on December 22, 1836.
The first census where he was found was 1871. He was then living at Saunderton Grange, Saunderton, with his parents. He was 32 [actually 34] and unmarried.
In 1881 he was still living at Saunderton Grange but this time as the head of household. He was still single and his occupation was given as farmer.
In 1891 William was still a farmer, single, aged 54, and living at Grange Farm, Saunderton.
William died on April 20, 1993 at Saunderton.
Administration of his estate was granted to his brother Thomas. The value of his estate was £551 1s.

This is the last Will and Testament of me William Barnett of the Grange Saunderton in the county of Buckingham farmer.
I revoke all former Wills made by me.
I give device and bequeath all my real and personal estate of whichever kind to my sister Susan Elizabeth Barnett of the Grange Saunderton aforesaid absolutely except as to the estates vested in me upon trust or by way of mortgage which I devise and bequeath unto the said Susan Elizabeth Barnett subject to the equities affecting the same respectively.
And I appoint the said Susan Elizabeth of Barnett and John Guy Dover of Aston Sanford in the said county of Buckingham farmer, executors of this my Will. In witness whereof I have hereunder set my hand this 14th day of January in year of our Lord 1881

On the second day of September 1893 Admon with this Will annexed of the effects of the testator was granted to Thomas Barnett the natural and lawful brother and one of the next of kin.
[Note: John Guy Dover appears to be a relative of William. William's father referred to John Dover, the father of John Guy, as a nephew.]
