2.4.4.1.7 Benjamin H Pollock

Benjamin H Pollock was the seventh child of Mary Barnett and James "Jim" Pollock. He was born on October 5, 1888 in Ohio. Like the other Pollock children he was born in the clapboard house on the Pollock's 80 acres. He was about 17 when the new family home was completed.
Benjamin married Mary E "Mae" Barnes, daughter of James Barnes and Virginia Rumsey and sister of Rolland Emerson Barnes, on August 19, 1913.
Benjamin and Mae moved into the family home following their marriage.
Benjamin was a teacher and a farmer.
In 1920 Benjamin was living in Whitehouse, Lucas County, Ohio. He was 31 and a farmer. Also in the household was wife Mary, 32, daughter Virginia M, 5, and son James R, 1 5/12. The 1930 US census records the family as living in Providence Township, Lucas Co, Ohio. Benjamin and Mae had married around 1913. The children in the household were: Virginia M, 16, Ronald H, 7, and John D 3 11/12. Benjamin was still farming.
Benjamin died on September 6, 1982, at the ripe old age of 93. He is was buried in the Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Lucas Co, Ohio on September 10.
Mae Barnes was born on december 29, 1887 near Swanton, Ohio. She lived to the age of 102. She died on December 6, 1990 and is also buried in the Mt Pleasant Cemtery.
