Howard Keith Barnes was the third child of Myrtle Pollock and Rolland Emerson Barnes. He was born on January 6, 1910 in Ohio.

In 1930 he was living with his parents and brothers and sister in Angola Road, Harding, Lucas Co, Ohio. The census recorded him as Keith, 20, a farmer.

Howard married Ruth Hartman.

Howard died on October 23, 1969, aged 59. He was buried in the Sharples Cemetery, Fulton Co, Ohio.
