Dorothy Barbara Matson was the second child of Dorothy Mary Vevers and George Murton Alvare Matson. She is known as Barbara.

Barbara married Maurice Bernard Payne. They had one child, Robin, who married Anne MacDonald and they have two children: Donald and Janice.
