2.4.3.4.9 Ronald Smith

Ronald Smith was the nineth of the eleven children born to Mary "Polly" Hobbs and Stephen Smith and their third son. He was born at Hambleden, Bucks, on April 27, 1882. He was baptised at St Mary the Virgin, Hambleden, on July 2, 1882.
In 1901 he was farm pupil in Brampton Bryan, Hereford. He was 18 and his name was recorded as Roland.
Ronald married Helen Darby in 1906. They had two children:

| 2.4.3.4.9.2 | Francis Darby Smith born in 1911 in Australia. He married Mary Everard Wakelin in 1944 in New Zealand. They had a son, Everard Darby Smith. |
Ronald died on May 27, 1937 in New Zealand.
