2.4.3.4.3 Mabel Jane Smith

Mabel Jane Smith was the third of the eleven children born to Mary "Polly" Hobbs and Stephen Smith. She was born at Hambleden, Bucks, on November 23, 1872. She was baptised at St Mary the Virgin, Hambleden, on March 9, 1873.

At the time of the 1901 census, Mabel was a governess in the household of Adela Lane, a widow living at the Vicarage, Nettleden, Herts.

Mabel died in England on October 6, 1956, aged 83.
