2.4.3.4.1 Madeline Mary Smith

Madeline Mary Smith was the first of the eleven children born to Mary "Polly" Hobbs and Stephen Smith. She was born at Hambleden, Bucks, on June 19, 1870. She was baptised at St Mary the Virgin, Hambleden, on September 27, 1870.

The 1901 census recorded madeline living at Bourne End, Wooburn, Bucks with her mother and a collection of other family members. She was 30 years old and no occupation was given.

Madeline died on January 22, 1919 in Vancouver, BC, Canada, where she had moved with many of her siblings.
