2.3 Mary Barnett

Mary Barnett was third child and second daughter of Thomas Barnett and Sarah Williams. She was born in Remenham, Berkshire in 1784 and baptised there on February 23, 1784.

At the time of the 1851 census, Mary was living at Aston Lane, Remenham. She was 67 years old, unmarried. Also at this address was her sister Sarah who was listed as deaf and dumb. Mary was a bond holder.

In 1861 census, Mary was living at “Aston Hall”, Aston Lane, Remenham.

At the time of the 1871 census, Mary was living in New Street, Henley, as a lodger. Her age was given as 85.

She died on January 23, 1872 at New Street, Henley, aged 88 and was buried at Remenham on January 27, 1872.
