2.1.2.7 Elizabeth Ann Barnett

Elizabeth Ann Barnett, the seventh child of Thomas Barnett and Frances Arnold, was born on Ocotber 4, 1860 in Kentish Town, London.

At the time of the 1861 census she was living with her parents at 29 Harley Road, Kentish Town and she was aged 6 months.

In 1871 Elizabeth was living with her mother at 8 Hargrave Road.

Elizabeth married Alfred Walkley in 1880. They were living in Islington at 28 Birkbeck Rd at the time of the 1881 census.

Elizabeth and her growning family were living at 46 Sunnyside Rd, Islington when the 1891 census was taken. In the household were Elizabeth and Alfred, their daughters Kate (5) and Beatrice (3) and Elizabeth's widowed brother-in-law Joseph Burn. Daughters Nellie and Daisy (both supposedly 8) were borders at the Clydesdale Cottage Ladies School in Finchley, Middlesex.

A fifth daughter, Frances Lydia, was born in 1892.

In 1901 the family was living at 17 Cromartie Road, Islington. The household consisted of Alfred and Elizabeth along with their daughters Daisy, Nellie, Katie, Beatrice and Frances plus two servants: Elizabeth Adams and Emma Hart.

Elizabeth died on November 26, 1918 aged 58.

Alfred Walkley was born on February 3, 1859 in Clerkenwell, Middlesex. He was the son of William Walkley and Mary Elizabeth Snarr. He was a master pastry cook by trade.

Alread died on July 24, 1926 in Islington, aged 67.
